The upgrade Procedure is the following:

1. BACKUP YOUR SITE! BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! Please do not make any upgrades or new installation without upgrading first a running site!!! Use CPANEL or Jpack to backup your joomla installation

2. Upload in your Joomla Folder (there where configuration.php lies) the files:
upgrade_145_to_150.php

Auction_Factory_1.5.0.zip

3. Make sure that the Auction component folder and auction administration folder and all their subfolders have full Writing Rights! (/components/com_bids and /administrator/components/com_bids ). Set it to 777, you can change it back after the upgrade!!
also make sure
           /modules is writable (777)
           /mambots/search is writable (777)
for CB users:
 /components/com_comprofiler is writable (777)

4. Make sure /media folder is writable (use 777, set it back afterwards)

5. Run the Upgrade Script

 http://yoursite/upgrade_145_to_150.php

6. Restore the user rights for the folders.

That's it!

IF ANY ERROR OCCURES DURING THIS PROCESS:
First make a screenshot with the error, note down what steps you did, and restore your auction files and tables and contact us immediatly! We will assist you in any matter regarding this upgrade.

Hi How about a fresh install, since the zip that is sent is not a component installation. I am trying to figure out how to do a fresh install. Thanks.

Is this also valid for upgrade from 1.4.0?
I've recieved the latest version but have not upgraded yet. I still have 1.4.0 and would like to upgrade to 1.5.0. Can I still use this script?
