ALTHOUGH it's a new major version, the 1.6.0 version is FREE of charge for license holders of the 1.4.x (two major versions for free!!!) and 1.5.x version!

Upgrade proceedings

1. Like performing any kind of changes or just for safety reasons,
the first rule is ALWAYS to BACKUP!
Please do not make any upgrades or new installation without backing up
first the running site! Use CPANEL or Joompack to backup your Joomla installation.
We are not reliable of any data loss or any other issues that might occur!
Also, update issues are not part of the product support! You can notify us if any issues in order to help improving the update system, but replies or solutioning are not mandatory!
Performing updates is on your own risk.

2. Put at least the rights 755 to the /media/ and the component
directories (administrator and frontend)

3. Copy the files from the Factory_Ugrade_Core archive to the ROOT of your site
4. Copy the new archive (zip file) of the component also to the ROOT
5. Copy the patches for the specific component in ROOT also
(Factory.upgrade.config.php of the component and sql logs for the current to upgrade archive)

6. Run Factory.upgrade.index.php
7. UPDATE!

auction Factory 1.6.6 released on November 5, 2009.

Update:
In order to update from 1.7.0 just overwrite the files using a FTP client. Of course if any changes to the templates and themes and even code, this should be backed-up previously. In any of the cases, even if no code changes, you should back-up anyway

To install the States Cities module create a separate zip file with mod_auctionnav.php and mod_auctionnav.xml then install it manually.
