Thanks for the reply.  I'll check that out.  I'm also wondering about the fact that the sample csv when imported does not generate auction numbers.  shouldn't every auction have a unique auction number?  Thanks.

Importing Reserve Prices

In the current (1.7.2) version the reserved price can not be CSV imported by default.
A tweak is necessary for this.

In the CSV file , reserved prices (if any) will be concatenated to the start price separated by slash
So, start prices will be either
start_price either
start_price|reserve_price
(Ex  25 - for auction with start price  and no reserve price or 25|50  for an auction with start price and reserve price  ).


For importing this the following tweak is necessary in the bids.function.php file in the ImportFromCSV method.

Replace
  $auction->initial_price = floatval($data[6]);

With:
          
 $start_prices = explode("|",$data[6]);
 $auction->initial_price = floatval($start_prices[0]);
 if (isset($start_prices[1])) {
   $auction->reserve_price=floatval($start_prices[1]);
 }

Can you post your CSV file? I've just tested this feature with our sample file and could not replicate those warnings.

Hello. I posted this earlier tonight but after digging the in mysql Database realized the instructions are off a bit on what fields will be entered and their values. It's working now

for the following fields, you must enter a # not a text value at all....
currency = 5   (must be the SAME as the value your currency ID is. this is for CDN)
BIN_price =   0 (you must enter this in the value if you don't have a Buy It Now)
auction_type =   1  (you must enter 1 for Public and 0 for Private)
automatic =   1
payment= 4 (you must find the ID that matches this payment type in the PAYMENT section)

hope this helps. I hope the upload system gets improved, unless again I did it the wrong way.

I am frustrated at this point with the import feature for the Bulk Import in Auction Factory and need a solution. I have followed the CSV layout EXACTLY as it's shown here; http://www.thefactory.ro/support/documentation/auction-factory-tutorial---bulk-uploading-auctions-into-your-system.html

But I just can not make it work. What am I doing wrong? I get messages like Currency doens't exist, enter a title and more.

Please please please review what my CSV file is setup as and let me know what I have done wrong as it should be an easy process.

I need this to work asap!
