As of July 1, 2009, PostNuke, is officially discontinued (End Of Life). There will be no further development, security-related or otherwise, of the product. All users are asked to migrate to Zikula, where further development continues.

This decision was made by the Zikula Steering Committee in the second quarter of 2008 and announced on June 6, 2008. As of this writing, the Zikula development team will begin implementing the tasks outlined therein. Specifically, the support forums for PostNuke will be archived for reference only and will be unavailable for posting (posting PostNuke-related questions in other forums will result in a polite request to upgrade icon_wink ).

On February 2, 2009, the Zikula Development Team introduced a Migration Distribution which allows Site Admins to more easily migrate their PostNuke .764 installation to Zikula 1.1.1. (Note that the migration distribution will not be updated to current versions of Zikula.) This distribution will continue to remain available in the cozi download area. Additions and improvements to that distribution are added to the documentation in the Wiki (Migrating to Zikula from PostNuke .764) and support for such migrations will continue in the Support Forum.
