How to create blog and users?
«

I've just installed Deluxe Blog Factory but I'm struggling to work out how to create a new blog. In the back end I would have expected to have a 'New' icon in the 'Blogs' section? Also how do users get added in the users section?

Hello!
Blogs are created by the users. When they try to access a page that requires them to have a blog, the blog registration form shows up.
When they enter their details on the Settings page, on the General tab.

Thanks for the quick response!
On my client's site, she wants a couple of blogs integrated into her site. So how to I set up a page that requires a blog, what menu type would be selected, or is a certain module supposed to be enabled?
Thanks for your help.

Enable the Deluxe Blog Factory Menu, and then try to write a new post. If you don't have a blog, a registration form will be shown.
Only one blog per user is allowed.

OK I think I'm getting the hang of it!
I've added a blog but I notice that no entries are displayed under users yet. How does that work?

Also I was hoping to be able to display to the public both blogs which I could create under different users. However it doesn't look like the list posts menu option has any idea which blog to list posts for?

When they enter their details on the Settings page, on the General tab, the users will show under the users section.
Well, the latest posts link from the menu shows the latest posts from all the blogs.

I think the best way to organise it on my client's site is to have one blog with multiple categories. I have set the My Blog dashboard to have a menu access level of special so only the registered users with special admin type privileges can see it. So my only problem now is when a blog post is entered it doesn't seem to show a category to enter the post under. I have set up a couple of categories in the back end. Can you explain how the categories work. Many thanks for your help, it is greatly appreciated.

When writing a new post, on the Post Information tab, there is a field Category. All you have to do, is to select the category from that drop down.
You'll have to set from the backend -> Settings -> General tab -> Miscellaneous fieldset on the category field, the type of categories you want to use.
